Knicks game with Yad Vashem YLA
On Sunday, March 11th, the Moise Safra Center together with American Society for Yad Vashem Young Leadership Association spent an exciting afternoon at Madison Square Garden attending a New York Knicks basketball game, where they played against the Toronto Raptors. Event Chair, Jonathan Fine, organized a great day of perks that went beyond just watching the game. We had access to pre-game warm ups, a VIP tour of behind the scenes at Madison Square Garden, and a brief history of the MSG company given by Lawrence Burian, General Counsel. The view of the court and the game was tremendous from the VIP box that was organized for the outing. During half time, David gave an overview of the Moise Safra Center, describing the building’s facilities, the programs and events we plan to have, and the community we aim to build. Throughout the game, there was a buzz among the attendees about the Moise Safra Center. Everyone we spoke to was excited about the opening of the Center with many ideas of programs and events they would like to see as well as inquiring about membership.
Thank you to Jill Goltzer and everyone at the American Society for Yad Vashem YLA for partnering with the Moise Safra Center on this amazing event. We started the day as acquaintances but left as great friends! We look forward to welcoming our new friends to the Center and our events in the future.
Topping out ceremony
On Wednesday June 14th the Moise Safra Center held a Topping Out Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the steel structure of our building. Our founders, donors and invited community members were excited to climb the stairs and see the progress of each floor. Guests sipped champagne on the Banquet Floor and signed the last beam to be put into the structure. The views of NYC from the 11th floor created a beautiful backdrop for our event.
