Personal Training FAQ

What are the benefits of working with a personal trainer?

Most of us know we need to exercise more, but often we don’t know where to begin, what to do, how much, or how often.  The answers to these questions depend on our individual needs and goals.  Our personal trainers will assess you to tailor an exercise plan that addresses your needs and goals. For more experienced exercisers, personal trainers can assist you in breaking through exercise plateaus or boredom by selecting exercises that will continue to challenge your body in new ways.

How do I know who is the right trainer for me?

Browse our list of highly certified personal trainers and read their bios and specialties. Look for a trainer who has experience for your needs and goals.

How do I sign up?

Fill out the Personal Training Request Form. Our Health and Wellness Manager, Natasha, will pass along your request to the personal trainer who will best fit your needs and timing. The personal trainer will reach out to you to schedule your first session and the Moise Safra Center will take care of payment. Personal training fees must be paid prior to the first appointment.

What can I expect in an average session?

The first session will be focused on physical assessment and a discussion of goals. The following sessions will focus on an exercise routine that progresses you towards your goals.

Will my personal trainer work with pre-existing injuries or health conditions?

Yes! When you submit the Personal Training Request Form, please include any pre-existing health conditions or injuries so we can match you with the appropriate instructor. These should be discussed with the personal trainer during your first session so they can modify the exercise routine to best fit your need.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require a 24-hour notice for cancellation with no penalty. Cancellations must be made in advance by emailing or calling your trainer so the workout can be quickly rescheduled. If you cancel within 24-hours of your session, you will not receive a refund.

Do I have to train alone?

No, you have the option of one-on-one training, partner training or small group training.
